About Me
Hi, I’m Caitlin—a certified babywearing educator and mom. I’m based in San Francisco, California. In addition to personalized support, I also lead the free monthly Bay Area Babywearing (BABW) support group. I’m certified by the Center for Babywearing Studies and through BABW’s educator program.
Like many new parents, I discovered babywearing while trying to soothe a fussy newborn. At first, I thought she just wanted to see the world. But as I carried her more, I began to understand that being held was a deep, biological need—just as essential as sleep or nourishment. I found that she calmed instantly when I carried her, and that I felt calmer too. We moved through the world together—snuggling, napping, adventuring, connecting.
What started as just another piece of baby gear quickly became something much more profound. Babywearing gave us closeness through tough moments, joy in the small ones, and a rhythm that helped me better understand her cues and needs. It has truly changed my life.
Before starting this work, I spent over a decade in software. After my daughter was born, and I discovered the power of carrying our children, I had a huge “a-ha” moment. Now I have chosen to focus my time on family and on on helping others experience the benefits of babywearing. I believe deeply in nurturing our children with care, patience, and responsiveness—not rushing independence, but supporting it through secure attachment.
CarryCraft is my way of sharing what I’ve learned—grounded in evidence, rooted in connection, and adapted to real family life. I hope to speak with you soon and learn how I can help your family.
